Pujol wins the fourth stage

A fast stage that has culminated the ŠKODA Titan Series Almería. The cyclists have imposed a good pace from the beginning, marking the distances and with continuous changes in the leading group, where those who marched stronger tried to test their possibilities.

Óscar Pujol started with a clear objective, to keep the jersey, and with that mission he has been advancing, controlling David Arroyo’s evolution at all times. And it is that the distance between the two was only 1 minute 25 seconds after Pujol’s chain broke in stage 3 a few kilometers from the finish line.

«With yesterday’s breakdown David approached me to the jersey and today I didn’t have much margin. Today I couldn’t let almost any of them move, so I kept an eye on the second and third”, stated the winner of the ŠKODA Titan Series Almería just after finishing this great adventure.

His victory in the stage has been a pleasant surprise, which has allowed him to live the dream finish: «I did not expect to reach the finish line first and take the stage. With the Titan I have always had a thorn in my side, so I am very happy to end the year with this victory.”

Pujol has reached the goal of El Toyo alone in a time of 2:29:25, followed by David Arroyo, just 11 seconds behind (2:29:36) and Oliver Avilés (2:30:05).
